Fun Time

My son loves playing basketball. He runs around in the backyard dribbling his ball. Whenever we have free time, we go to the mall and spend time at the arcade. It's hard to say no to him because the mall is just a stone throw away from where we live. But we just stay there for at most one hour. We have some snacks and then I'd let him play. Most of the time, we have waffles, donuts and juice (yep, no soda for us).

He uses up most of his tokens for the mini-basketball game.


He also loves playing drums. I encourage him to try new things. Who knows he may become a drummer someday?


Then we go home with smiles on our faces. :)

"If I Had My Child To Raise Over Again"

I'm a first time mom. I must admit that a lot of times, I do not know what to do. But I can always learn from wonderful pieces of advice given to me by other people (whether I personally know them or not).

If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.

Summer Fun 2009 Culminating Activity

The Summer Culminating Activity of Pail and Shovel Integrated School was held today at ICITE Auditorium (International Centre of Information Technology Educated) in Eastwood City Cyberpark. Dwight is part of the Reading Readiness Basic.

Since the theme of the program is "Take me to the Beach", the kids were wearing colorful summer attires. Dwight wore surfing suit and a Hawaiian shorts. Each class performed amazing numbers. :)

Last Week of Summer Class

This week is my son's last week of summer class at Pail and Shovel. I notice that he's very excited to tell me about his day every time he comes home from school. Their class will have a culminating activity at UP this Saturday, May 9.

I am looking for other summer classes that he can join after this.
