It's very important to have a clean drinking water at home. A contaminated water can lead to different illnesses. Before, we would order gallons of mineral water but then we realized that we would be able to save money if we have our own water filter at home. So we bought a whole house water filter to keep our water supply clean. Now, we don't have to worry about our babies getting sick due to unclean drinking water.

Dwight Update

My son is now in Kindergarten 2. He's happy at his new school. I think he was able to adjust easily. Last week, they had their monthly exam. I made sure that he's prepared for the test. The following day, the teacher showed us the exam results and he did pretty well. I am so proud of him.

He enjoys learning and he enjoys going to school. I promised him that as long as he would do well in school, I will get him a xbox 360 at the end of the school year.

Vitamin C

I make sure that my child eats a healthy balanced diet. He loves to eat but there are times that it's hard to make him eat foods that his body really requires. He does not like vegetables and fruits. I told him that in order for him to not easily get sick, he should eat lots of fruits with Vitamin C.

Good sources of Vitamin C includes citrus fruits such as oranges and mandarin. Citrus fruits are good example of foods that burn fat. Whenever I buy citrus fruits, I also end up eating a good portion of it.

You Can Eat Everything!

When attending a special occasion where lots of food is served, you can actually eat everything! But you might say that eating everything will make you fat. Actually, the answer is no. You can eat everything but only bite size of each menu. Also, drink lots of water so that your stomach will think that it's full. I think water is one of of those natural appetite suppressants. My way of eating healthy is by eating lots of fruits.

Birthdays Coming Soon!

My parents are having the time of their life being grandparents to Dwight and Tyra. Having a pair of cute kids at home brightens their day. They spend a lot of time with the two little ones.This August both of them will be celebrating their birthdays. So, my siblings and I are thinking of something unique to give them. It's very easy to choose a gift for my mom. Maybe my dad would like to try Cohiba. My siblings and I will contribute for their gifts. Hopefully we can buy my parents gift around the first week of August.

My aunt is getting married 3 months from now. I don't call her aunt because she's only a few years older than me. She is very excited about her wedding day but she's also worried that she may not be able to lose weight fast.

I told her that as long as she is determined to lose weight then, it is possible. It does not take a miracle to lose weight. As long as a person has the right discipline and attitude, it can be done. Health Savings Account

Dwight cannot eat too much sweet and salty foods because he easily gets tonsillitis. A few months ago, a doctor advised that if he always gets tonsillitis, then we should resort to tonsillectomy, instead of his heart being affected by the frequent occurrence of the illness. It's a good thing that he curbed his cravings for sweet. I know Dwight's health is very sensitive so I make sure that we have a health savings account for him just in case something unfortunate happens. I pray for him to be healthy all the time. But it's always better to be prepared.

Until We Meet Again

A few weeks ago, dad has to go home to his hometown for his cousin's burial. Most of the relatives helped in taking care of the funeral cost. Death has always been a sensitive and very emotional issue. Most people do not want to talk about it. We don't really know what's going to happen after death. But I believe there's something greater than our life on earth. So when a loved one passes away, it's not really a goodbye. It should be "until we meet again".
